I am looking to paint the back of my tank. What type of paint do I need? I've looked at several LFS with no luck. I want a nice deep Blue.

Where should I go? How should I apply it?

Thanks

I really like the oceanvisions stuff instead of paint. It's like a vinyl sticker you can get in different colors. No bubbles or peeling like you get with other aquarium backgrounds, and it's not permanent like paint.

Thanks,

Is it hard to apply? I always used to use paint for my FW tanks.

If you do paint, how do you apply it? I tried using a sponge roller and it does not go on well. Any suggestions?

I think best way to apply the paint will be with spray... Spraypaint in the can...

Use Krylon Fusion spray paint. Works and looks great! HTH.

Black looks better IMO and it hides dirty glass better

I saw someone on here that used four different blues and black spray paint to get the dark at bottom light on top effect. It turned out great.

you should look through tank pics, most people prefer black over blue. Black makes colors pop. krylon fusion is a good spray to use, just mask the rest of it well.

The oceanvisions?

It's not too bad if you're applying it before you set up the tank. I imagine it would be pretty difficult on an already-setup tank.

I just used the Krylon Fusion to spray paint the back and trim on a 55 I'm working on. I was really impressed with results. Very clean, professional looking results (and I'm no expert with this stuff...). I went with black and really like the look.

Best wishes,
