ROCK LOOKS LIKE IT TURNED OUT OKAY. YEA IT SEEMS LIKE IT TAKES 12 HOURS TO DO ANYTHING RELATED TO FISH STUFF. LEFT MY HOUSE IN T'VILLE AT 7:00 AM AND HELP MY SISTER MOVE ALL HER FUNITURE BACK INTO HER HOUSE IN DELTONA AND THEN WENT TO MOVE AND SETUP THE TANKS AND BACK TO THE HOUSE AT 3:30AM MONDAY MORING AND THEN OFF TO WORK AT 7:00AM. ANYBODY ANTHING THEY NEED HELP WITH?? WAS ALOT OF FUN.

Tank looks nice. How long have you had that seahorse in with the tang/clowns? Do the others steal his food?

Very nice tank!

As you can see by my sig pic - I'm big on Seahorses, used to raise them.
I kept mine in their own tank - they typically don't like high flow, and can't swim fast enough to get their food.

How is yours eating? Live or frozen? And do you gut load the food? I had the best results using Selcon.
Another thing to watch out for - they are very messy...... What goes in - comes right out.......

If you need any help with the pony - feel free to drop me a line.

I wish I could set up another Seahorse tank...... no time or extra cash right now though...

Is he captive bred or wild caught??
If he's WC he will only eat live mysis, ghost shrimp, or possibly brine shrimp.

If he CB - you could try frozen PE Mysis shrimp.
You may need to shut down your pumps for a few while you feed him.
I've had some that I had to hand feed until they got used to being on their own.

Check out the Seahorse forum here on Reef Central there are real experts there who can give you some more help.

Good luck!

try pulling him out at feeding time and putting him in a catch cup with some cyclopeze, we used to do this at a fish store I worked at, works excellent. Let him eat for about 10 min and then put him back in always use the water that he came with though, and it doesn't take much cyclo either, just a sliver. I know it'll probably get old taking him out to feed everytime but its a good temp. solution. good luck, tank looks great,
james

Who did the stand it looks great. To me it looks like the tank is a lot bigger than what it really is.

Great advice. Also check out the forums at seahorse.org . A lot of great articles/experienced people to point you in the right direction. Most likely, though, you will have to set up another tank in order for it to survive. So if thats not what you're looking to do, I would post him up for adoption on here...
