limewater and sodium carbonate

i'm using limewater can i still used sodium carbonate if necessary. somebody told me you can't mix this. thank you in advance.

Are you mixing the sodium bicarbonate in a 2 part solution? If you are, then yes you can drip limewater and still use the 2 part at the same time. I would imagine you will need to watch your PH when adding it if you are just dosing it straight, i never dose it that way, so i have no idea. I would think it could easily spike the PH , and that is why you were told not to dose it with limewater, because both raise the PH, and together you could over do it easily.
By the way, isn't sodium carbonate just baking soda that has been baked?
