Me No Nemo

Our trip Saturday was fantastic in every way! But, for me, the most incredible part was getting to know the story of Winter. I think this poor little dolphin's plight has brought home to many of us how fragile sea life is in the wild and how important are all our efforts to clean up area lakes and oceans. For years, as the founder of EarthWild, an environmental group for middle school kids, I emphasized the "One Bag Per Trip" program of taking and filling a grocery bag with trash, old fishing line, etc. whenever visiting a park or beach. Even all these years later, former students who recognize me tell me that it's become a lifelong habit. Here's a link to some info on Winter and a hope that some reading this will consider "One Bag Per Trip" and know that we really do have the power to make a difference in the world around us...one bag at a time. Thanks for looking! Marcye
