Hey I was just wondering what some of the advantages of having coralline algae growth besides it's visual appeal?

I believe it competes against other algae. But the main thing seems to be aesthetics since it adds color.

it's also a sign that your tank is doing well. coralline really only grows well when your nutrients are low, you've got good calcium and alkalinity levels, and decent flow.
