Hello all. Well, kinda new to the board, not too new to the hobby.

Am currently plumbing a 90G 4ft. tank with this 29? gal. acrylic sump, specs below.

O.K - heres where im at. - firstly, forget about a sKimmer, thats another project. This sump needs to accomplish three things.

1. Provide "some" level of Mechanical filtration.

2. Be able to fit a Refugium (as much space as possible)

3. Be plumbed for an in-sump Return Pump, including room for said pump and catch area.

So, lastly...i know there are some ideas (Ive had a few) that would require the sump to go under the knife for some work, i.e- adding panels or creating partitions, seals etc. and that's o.k I have a place lined up for that.

I think thats it, what I am really looking from the community here is some ideas and suggestions, am I in the right direction etc.

umm.. not really sure what I'm looking at here... Where's the return pump going? fuge? Am I looking at an overhead view or side?.... Looks like a side view to me... if that's the case I'm VERY confused...

Could you diagram the flow of the water for us? maybe that would make things a little clearer.

Sorry I wasn't of much help....

what you are looking at is a rudimentary 3D view of the sump along with dimmensions.

those questions you pose are why I am here. Im looking to get ideas....

I'll start. I was thinking of gluing down the two panels shown (shaded green) and create a 22"X10"X12 Area for a fuge. The four drain holes on its westward wall could be plugged or plumbed to another part of the tank?

here is another visual aid.

basicly, the previous drawing shows how the sump looks right now.

Ok, so what you're saying is that the drawing represents the current configuration of the sump... right? Almost looks like a wet/dry....?

If that's the case I'd be tempted to knock out all the baffles and re-set them or get new baffles made and place them in a configuration similar to this....

[i] Almost looks like a wet/dry....?[/B]

That is exactly what it WAS.

I am working on a new chart, will upload that in a few.
