When I had my 150 I had 3 400w coralvue ballasts. In a year and half out of the 3 I had to replace 2 of them. It could of been that I bought them off ebay and the company sold me used refurbished ballast, I dont know. I can say the new ballast I got direct from corlvue worked great. I liked them when they worked but if I was starting over with my lights I wouldnt buy them again.

Icecaps are better IMOP. The CV's can be pretty unreliable and sometimes have a hard time firing DE bulbs if that is what you're looking to do. Their customer service is also not on par with Icecap if you have a problem.

If I don't go with the CVs I'll be getting bluelines, I'm not a big fan of the icecap MH ballasts, but they do make great VHO ballasts. I'll be using the ballast for a single ended bulb(s).
