which timer for lights? aube?

This is just for a 75g fowlr. I bought one of these satellite poer compact 130 watt units. Ive read horror stories about the coralife timers etc. So which timer should I get?

I just use Intermatic timers from the hardware store. If you want a fancier setup, the aquarium controllers can simulate seasons, etc.
