What are those 'specialty' can lighting over many Japanese tanks called?

I would like to find out the proper name for the pendant and bulbs please? Also, I remember reading that they were not readily available in the States. Is this still true?

Par cans? They are certainly available in the US, check out DJ supply, or theatre supply companies. What does not seem to be available is the sleek designs you see on some of those tanks. The DJ and stage lighting ones appear to be more 'utilitarian' looking than some of those awesome ones I've seen on the japanese reef tank sites

Why aren't those sleek designs offered in the U.S.? Is it only because they are not popular or is there some compatability issue?
Also, what is the proper name for the bulbs? Are those also what the DJ's use?

Thanks again, I only remember coming across some pictures and comments of tank lit in this manner and was curious about them. I would be interested in using some for highlighting.
