I have a 240g 96x24x25 and it has 2 - 14" glass center brace. It has 1/2" glass all around and the buttom has 2 extra support brace. Is it wise to remove 2 crossbrace at the top to add in a eurobrace? Or should I leave it alone.

i would leave it alone...its there for a reason.dont want all your investment on the floor only because you took out the crossbrace

Couldn't I just remove the center brace and add a 4" eurobrace, will this be ok?

I wouldn't touch them myself. That's a pretty long tank and it's going to have a lot of pressure in the middle of it. If it was 3/4" you'd probably be OK but not with 1/2" IMHO. If I really wanted eurobracing or a brick style aquarium I'd sell the existing tank and get a new one myself, but hey, this is free advice so take it for what it's worth.
