I finally got my new sump up and running but now my returns are

shooting out tons of little air bubbles. I don't have any leaks and

can't figure out how I'm getting air in my lines to cause these.

And there's not any bubbles in the sump so I'm lost.

retrun pump might be cavitating. Pictures of your set up would help.

Okay, for some reason photobucket is not wanting to upload my pictures. Anyways what is cavicating and if that is it how do I stop it?

If the pump is cavitating, try lowering the speed if possible. Make sure the intake is completely submerged. Might also help to widen the intake or discharge of the pump if possible.

The intake is under about six inches of water and I'm not getting a vortex of anykind. I have an ADHI threre stage sump. When the water flows from the second chamber to the third it goes threw a foam block which dissipates any bubbles. It has to be the pump. The intake has ample width but the discharge is narrower......... probably the problem. Thanks!
