Hey everyone,

I am looking at getting the GroTech III NG and the profilux II (upcoming 21st present) to run my 300L SPS system.

My concern is that, from what I understand, the profilux cannot control the individual dosing pumps on the GroTech. I want to have the ability to extend the model in the future, so that the profilux can automatically control kalk dosage and other top ups which would benefit from being monitored if I use a calcium reactor later on. I have been very impressed by the dosing abilities of the GroTech system, as one of my mates has one running Ca, Alk and Mg/trace K.

I have heard a rumour that there are dosing pumps/setup for the profilux, but can anyone clarify? Does anyone know of any other dosing setups that I could use? The alternative is to use individual dosing pumps for kalk (if even necessary) and water top off and run the Grotech for Ca, Alk Mg, K and Sr. Keep in mind I’m in Aus and we don't have the range of dosing pumps available elsewhere. The best supplier seems to be seame.com.

One, last question and I’m done . Does anyone have any comments on the severity of Cl build up in tanks due to the long term use of CaCl?

Any advice/comments/opinions would be appreciated!

Hope the reefs are thriving,

Cheers,

cale

Something like this!!! Profilux Dosing 1 through 4 Pump. Might want to post this over on the Proline/Profilux Sponsor Forum.
