hi guys i need help for my fishes. how to use garlic for ich? do they work?

garlic is not a cure for ich. however garlic will help keep the fish eating and help fight off the ich. but looking at what you have in your tank there won't be much you can do to treat it unless you either upgrade to a very large tank 200+ gal. or get rid of all but 1 of your tangs or it will just keep comming back.

get some garlic extract and soak their food in it. what are you feeding your fish?

the nori will soak up the garlic the best.

Have there being any conclusive studies that show garlic boosts the immune systems of fish? Anybody got any good references on this?

5 tangs in a 55? Obviously failed to do your research on the subject. Garlic supplement is not going to help your cause. You have to many big fish in far too small of a tank leaving them extremely stressed and pretty much killing there immune systems.

Garlic supposedly helps keep up their immune system. Soak food in garlic (I use Selcon) and feed the food to your tank.

Try not to feed your tangs for 2 days, and if they starve forsure they will eat anything you drop inside your tank. Why not try to feed it with dried chopped garlic or omega one with garlic soaked in garlic juice.

Garlic doesn't have any proven effect at all on marine ich. Sometimes, it encourages feeding. I'd put the fish in hyposalinity in a hospital tank for 8 weeks and leave the display tank fish-free for that period.

Small or not, the tangs need a larger home, in my opinion.

From what i have read Garlic is not a proven scientific method to cure Ich. I can and will elicite a feeding response and can boost their immune system. It's a good supplement but that's about it
