DI Resin Shelf-Life & Performance

Does DI resin have a shelf-life? MY TDS just went up to 1 PPM so I will be purchasing new resin for my refillable cartridge. If there is a reasonable shelf-life period, I will buy it in bulk (5lbs giving me four refills).

Also, given the following specs (I keep a detailed log), does 207 gallons of 0 PPM DI water seem reasonable from a batch of resin.

Tap Water Range: 510-618 PPM
RO Output Water Range: 3-7 PPM
Weighted average RO rejection rate: 99.18%
DI: 0 PPM (until today)
Pressure: 72-80 PSI
System: BFS Premium 4 stage

I normally let my TDS get up to 2 or 3 before changing the resin,just to get a little more life out of it.You'll need to store the resin in an airtight container,so that it doesn't dry out.HTH
