My sump sprung a leak, and the way my stand is designed along with where I have the aquarium prohibits me from installing a new sump (of the size I need).
I'm just going to switch to a nice canister. I already had nu-clear canisters in line with the output from my sump. I'm going to add an eheim 2080 for biological filtration.

Does anyone have any ideas about how to plumb canisters into the built in overflows of a reef ready aquarium? I have my pump and nu-clear canisters plumbed directly to an overflow now, and as the water evaporates, it lowers in the overflow and gets loud. I had to remove the durso standpipes, because they were letting air in the canister.

Thanks for any ideas.

Is this a fish only tank? A cannister filter can be a problematic source (actually buildup) of nitrates. Normally the rock/sand will take care of all the biological needs of the tank. Cannisters make a great place to run carbon and phosban though.
