I can buy this skimmer used from someone locally for under $200. Its quite new and in great shape. I had a few questions though. I already have a Precision Marine Bullet 2 that I have not set up yet (I am in the process) but thought this may be a better skimmer.

I do not have much room under my tank either. The Bullet was going to have to be pumped outside the tank and thats a hassle. So my questions are:

1. How do I find out how this needs to sit in my sump if I did run it internally. How much height does it need? Or can it just go right on the bottom?

2. Would it most likely out-preform the Bullet 2? This is a 150G tank with two large puffers and a few Anthias. Any opinions?

Any other comments about these skimmers would be great! Thanks.

That's a great deal on an AP600, but I wouldn't use one on a 150G tank. Nice skimmer, but too small. You could resell it for a nice profit, and put the $ toward a larger skimmer.

What size are they rated for? Its only $180. I believe 8 months old.

That is super cheap for an AP600. Sounds too good to be true. A new one is $645. You could sell a good used one for $400 - $450 in a blink. "Ratings" aside, I would use it on a 90G tops.

May it isn't a AP600? Could it be a DAS EX-1, like the Deltec?

Its a Deltec for sure. I have seen it. The guy really does not need the money :) Hes a friend...

He just bought a bubbleking and does not have any use for this skimmer.

Anyways, too bad its so small :( I will stick with my Bullet 2. For whatever reason, I just don't feel like the Bullet is a very good skimmer. Not sure why though. I did post a while ago asking people about them and only really got one person to answer. Im guessing not many people use PM skimmers.

Killer deal. I'd buy it anyway.

Yeah but hes one of my best friends. If I do not buy it, he will sell it for more to someone. I would feel bad buying and reselling it on him.

Plus he would know I sold it because he is always over at my place and would notice its not in my sump!

Me too, I buy it anyways and it may come in handy on a frag tank or anything smaller later. I wouldn't use that skimmer on anything larger than 75g.

Yeah, hes a good friend. I couldn't do that to him!

On another note though, any thoughts about the PM Bullet 2 skimmers???
