lighting for sump?

i recently purchased a clamp on work light reflector and a no vision solar light[flourescent 100w].after 2 nights of running it the bulb melted at the base.what bulb should i use?

i think a lot has to depend on what you're keeping in your sump. how much light do you need , waht type of algea or plants do you have going on??

I've been using the bulb from the melevsreef website on my fuge which is part of my 55gal sump and have had great growth and success.
