I have this ruby head wrasse that was swimming around the tank bumping into things and sometime barely swimming... I noticed it had stringy white poo so immediately... bacterial infection. I tried to feed it garlic and didn't take...

So I tried to put him in a container with fresh chopped garlic in the water... thinking the enzymes or whatever will help...he went nuts trying to jump out and stuff... he ended jumping out and landing on the ground...stressed out as I am... i'm not sure what to do... he was upside down for a little bit but I immediately put him back into the display. I turned off the lights and now praying that I didn't kill it...

Any thoughts?

Stringy white poop is usually a sign of internal parasites. Remove to a quarantine tank. Treat with a med that treats for internal parasites.

what type of medication would be best?

Ask your local fish store to recommend a med. I think it's called Parizpro but you will have to check.
