Put a bag of carbon in your sump or a high flow area.

i was wondering could put a panty hose or some kind of fine mesh cloth on the end of my wet/dry filter hose before the water goes to the trickle plate?and then put carbon in the tube so the water has to go through it?

I am not a fan of putting bags over the lines, it may catch a little debris but it also requires maintanance or it will plug and cause a flood.

Glebstoff, tannin and humic acids, are disolved organic compound and cannot be removed through mechanical filtration. It take a chemical aborption media like GAC to remove it.
