quick question on flow!

i know this has been covered many many times before but i want to know what you guys would do.i have a 80 litre tank.at the moment i have a EHEIM return proving the flow in the tank.this is rated a 1200 lph(minus head and the SCWD say 1000lph).i also have another EHEIM rated at 2400 lph(minus the head and SWCD i would hazard a guess at 2000lph)
so:

1000/80=12.5 times the tank volume

or

2000/80=25 times the tanks volume

i want to hear opinions from everyone who has one :)
