I have a marineland 120 gal. tank. I has a sticker on the bottom glass that says ''tempered glass do not drill". I was just going to go with a lifereef HOB overflow untill one of the guys at a lfs told me to drill the back of the tank. But I'm not possitive if the bottom is just tempered or all the glass. I tried to contact marineland but they wont answer my emails. The lfs said that the back glass would not be tempered and it would be best if I drilled it for my overflow. Does anybody know if marineland uses all tempered glass or just the bottom?

I do not know for sure, but I am about to get a 100 gallon glass tank and I know that a lot "only" have the bottom as being tempered. But make sure by all means. I am trying to figure out how to drill the back of my tank and/or where to do it. Home depot said "find a glass store"

I had the same question on my perfecto 75. I called the manufacture and they told me just the bottom. so if you want to know for sure give them a call.
