My wife finally gave me permission to buy a biocube for our bedroom. What Im looking for is a small version, say 14 gallons or so. I know of a guy that has some absolutely amazing zooz he is willing to part with for me. My question is, will a bio cube with PC lighting (being this is that they seem to come with) support a nice little zoo/ricordia tank or will I need to upgrade the lighting? If so, should I just skip the biocube all together and build a tank with sump and such from scratch?

Zoanthids and Ricordea will grow under PC, but the colors might be different than other lighting systems. What kind of lighting are those zoanthids under now?

The colors might change significantly. Hard to say. That's likely much brighter lighting than a PC setup will provide.

I have the 14G biocube and the stock lighting seems to be supporting all my coral very well, I do supplement with DT's live phytoplankton, but i'm not really sure if it makes a difference.
