Hi all,

I browse the site looking at other peoples great tanks and get soo much enjoyment out of it that i thought i would show mine..

Its a 120g cube with a turnover of about 15x this from Seio pumps. Fish all in but only got leather, mushroom and purple xenia corals so far...

Apologies for the quality of the photos, my camera isn't great!

Any comments/advice would be much appreciated, go easy, its my first attempt!

Thanks, James.

Unfortunately i do, my powerheads are too powerful - no matter how i angle them! When i first put the sand in i was unsure how much to put in, so i put about an inch deep in.

Wish i had done more now but daren't add any! lol!

I was told by a local expert that if you want to add more live sand to an existing system, you could do it side by side and the current and creatures will help to blend it. I guess all you have to do its push the existing sand over, and add to the empty spot only. Then if you want to add more, push the old sand onto the new sand and add to that empty spot. As long as the new sand isnt on top of the old sand it should be ok......although Im sure many will disagree with that....do what you are comfortable with

I really like your aquascaping, and I like the receeding sandbed. The exposed glass will eventually get covered with coraline (looks like it's beginning already) and look very natural.

Thanks for that guys, the glass at the front is starting to grow coraline, which is cool. I also have my rock of purple xenia at the front, hoping that these may eventually move onto the glass at the front there. Hopefully creating a kind of moving carpet at the front?

Thanks again, couldn't have done any of this without this site and the advice!

I think that's an awesome layout. Is it a pain in the @$$ to clean coraline off all four sides of that cube?

To be honest with you, with a foxface, two tangs, snails and two file fish in there they seem to keep the algae at bay! I tend to leave it a bit on the two back sides as i think it looks quite nice!

Is it bad to have coraline on them? Should i be cleaning it off as i do on the two main sides?
