Ok, I'm researching all this lighting stuff now and there's something I can't find an answer to. T5HO and T5VHO...what's so great about VHO over HO? I mean I know that an Ice Cap 660 ballast will overdrive the bulb from say 54watts to 80watts on the 48" bulb. So what? What is that doing for me exactly? And what is an overdriven bulb costing me when my electric bill is added up...54 watts or 80watts?

Thanks for the help

T5VHO is something icecap/reefgeek made up to make overdriving T5HO with Icecap 660 VHO ballasts more legitimate.

You get more light from overdriving, but you use more electricity, your bulbs dont last as long, more heat, etc.
