what is the proper way to preform a hyposalinity treatment as i am told this is the only effective way to safely cure my powder blue tang of ich infestation?

hypo salinty should be performed in a quarantine tank. Over 48 hours the salinity level is brought down from .025 to .009. It is best to have a refractometer to measure the salt level.
