I've heard the cops don't mind stuff like that at all since it makes people slow down! Unless they're running a speed trap to raise revenue, why would they?

Marvelous.

I had a State Patrol Officer use myself and an RV as cover once. We both broke down at the end of a long bridge and the officer would stop between us and clock traffic while we waited for towes and chatted with him. Then he would take off pull someone over, and come back when he was done.

In Alabama the state police department put up their own signs. Last there was signs on all the highways that said "Let take back our highways". It was all over the news that they were watching for speeders all week long. It sucked I had to drive the speed limit all the way to work everyday!

when I was a kid my dad fas friends with one of the local sherrifs, one day we had a cookout at his house and dad and some other guys were standing out talking about stuff and one of the guys pointed out to the sherriff how fast everyone was driving by his house, he shurged and said - " I could pull them over from now till sunset and tommorow they woudl be back driving the same speed.

one of the few cops dad really liked :D
