View Full Version : anyone use AUTO FEEDERS? what brand do you trust to work well?

Hoping for some advice, want to pick up an auto feeder...gone simplify my life finally!!

I don't have one, but I have heard good things about the ehiem single feeder, and the "superfeeder" (http://www.merchantamerica.com/superfeeders/index.php?ba=view_category&category=1065).

I would do a digital one you can program if it was me. Mine is mechanical and just dumps food either 1,2,3 or 4 times a day but 1 isn't enouph and 2 is 12 hours apart ( my setting) so the lights are not on during one feeding and the fish are sleepy. They are not cheap either but to be totally lazy with the tank its worth it.

The first one listed, the rainbow life guard is the one I have and wouldn't get it again for above mentioned reason.

I have both the eheim single and the twin feeder. I love them both. I also want to try the Rena one, as it has a AC adapter. Either, definitely get a digital one.
