Have another new comer in the new tank ... Can't geta great shot as is it is on the underside of rock behind an old encrusted something, but here is the best I can do http://reefcentral.com/gallery/data/500/154920IMG_1690_Large_Web_view.jpg
The tentacles are extremely fine and some are 2+ inches long. There is a neat duster just to the right so I want to be careful, either shooting it with kalc or even if I take it out of the water to scrub.... Thanx :worried:

Might be a sponge, too. Hard to see, really.

it kinda looks like a spaghetti worm, but maybe i'm looking at something else on the picture.. LOL I have worms that have thin tentacles come out of all sorts of my rock.

If it's on the underside of a rock it's probably not Aiptasia... Well, at least not if it stays there.

Kinda looks like feeder "tentacles" of some sort of worm. I forget what they are called but I rmember something about that. What about a hydra? Have you considered it could be that?

spaghetti worm. leave it be, not harmful in any way. Some people actually buy them to add to the tank.

Thanx all ... it's a new load of rock that has a whole different make-up from the first tank I started 6 mos ago. Whacked 1 aiptasia the other day and wasn't sure about this, although I looked it up (as well as u can) and that seemed like the critter. Want it clean as possible before putting fishies in! ... Thanx again
