Hi everyone, I have a 20 gallon finnex m-tank that I am looking to put a sunpod fixture on. My finnex m-tank measures 21" across, I know that the 20" sunpod fixtures extend their docking mounts, I was wondering if anyone knows or could measure if their 20" fixtures can mount a 21" tank?

In case someone comes across this thread looking for the same info...I heard from a separate source that the legs on a 20" when fully extended measure a full 21 1/2". I will be going ahead and ordering a 20" sunpod and will again update this thread if I find anything to the contrary.

Just email current usa, they're pretty good about getting back with answers quickly.

I measured my 20" Sunpod with legs out as far as they would go. It was 21" . You could push maybe a 1/16 to 1/8" more.

DUH...Sorry, thought you were wanting it to fit 21 1/2 inch. 20" Sunpod will fit your tank perfectly

Thanks for the replies everyone. It is nice to hear confirmation that it will fit my tank at 21".
I actually had e-mailed current USA a few times and must say I found the responses extremely unhelpful. I am still going with the product since it seems to be the best option, certainly at the price, but this time around I was dissapointed with their customer service and never even got a good answer in the end. thanks for everyone's help.

I got my 20" sunpod 6 weeks ago. Just discovered the bulb already burned out/defective last night when I got home. E-mailed them, haven't gotten a reply.
Had to pop for a new bulb and overnight Saturday delivery shipping from Premium Aquatics.

Sorry to hear that colinadam. I have heard mixed reviews of the bulb itself. I decided to go ahead and order a pheonix 14k right off the bat and keep the stock bulb as a back-up. Good luck with your next bulb.

That's the same bulb I ordered from PA, supposed to be a really good bulb. I heard back from Current, they are sending me a replacement bulb that will be my backup bulb but who knows when it will arrive.

Current normally doesn't do their own customer service. What I like is Drs. Foster and Smith will do their service for them if you buy there. Any problems, and the Drs take care of it.

That is interesting to hear they do not do their own customer service, that explains part of the poor service I received. That does not really seem like a good policy, but it must save them money I suppose. Regardless, I am really looking forward o the lights coming in and firing them up on my tank.

Of all the bulbs I've tried the Phoenix is my favorite...crisp - makes the colors pop!
