Hi All,

Does anyone have a glass drill I can borrow? I finally got a tank to replace my sump and I'd like to drill it for external pumps.

OR.............
Does anyone know where I can get the side of a tank drilled?

Thanks.

Using a Dremel driven tile carbine bits work too.
A "ball" one to punch a hole, and a straight sided one to cut out the hole.

Hey Elite,

I'd appreciate the bit if I can borrow it. I'm scared of cutting glass with my dremel bit.

I've cut plenty of tanks with dremels, and believe or not I buy all my bits at Wal-mart, same bits as Loews or home depot and online. And never had a problem. Just take your time and you'll be O.K.!!!:)

Up in sac Funman1 drills glass. PM him. He does excellent work. He drilled 8 holes in two tanks for my super nano project. IE 6g nano with overflow, closed loop and intake and return for the heater chiller in the sump/fuge! He is THE MAN.

Could someone direct me in how to use a dremel to cut glass? Am I supposed to drill through it and then cut like I would a piece of wood?

This still scares me. Elite, I think I'll be borrowing your bit.
