Longitudinal Fission, Pedal Laceration....

Hey all,

I see what looks like super small mushrooms on my live rock. They're all very light brown colored and are located near my main colonies of each mushroom. I know mushrooms can reproduce by longitudinal fission, but I do not think this is the case. And I believe pedal laceration occurs when they move themselves around and leave a piece of them on the rock to grow into another mushroom....

is there any other way mushrooms reproduce?

If you drop them in a blender for a few seconds. :D

Seriously I think they can reproduce in almost any way.

I've heard of them being cut in 4 different pieces and all 4 grow...

What about ways they reproduce without human intervention? No cutting, no fragging them....and no blending them :)

my ricordia yuma walks around the rock it's on, and it just leaves little babies behind. I never need to "frag" it. Hard part is fragging pieces off the big rock it's on.
