In order to fund a better Nikkor 18-200mm VR for $750, I would like to know if any of you would like to buy a 4 month old Zoom Wide Angle-Telephoto 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor Autofocus Lens from me for $250.00.

It came with my Nikon D80 kit that includes a lens hood, cap, pouch, box, orginal unfilled warrenty card, and a 5 year warrenty from the date of purchase about 4 months ago.

The lens is in a perfect condition not a single den or scrach on either the body or the glass. The cameras fully compatible with the AF-S focus motor are the F6, F5, F4s, F100, N90s, N90, N80, N75, N70, N65, D1 & D2-series, D50, D70, D100, for D200.

I prefer local pick up in San Jose.

If it was an EF mount for Canon I would buy it :)

I did the same as you did africangrey. Now all you need is the 105VR! :D

Got the 105 VR for macro, but want an ulmate all purpose/ walk around lens and I heard 18-200mm VR is the one to get. This hobby can be very very expensive.

No complaints, I really like my 12-200mm VR. Very good all around lens! :)

Now the lens is sold, the only thing that's available for me to shoot is the 105 mm VR Macro, guess I will have to carry that to tomorrow's F1 race in San Jose.

Anyone would recommend a place where I can get a Nikkor 18-200mm VR for $750, craigslist are selling them for $800. The only reliable source on the net is B&H, but it's on back order til god knows when. This thing is so scarced and a lot of stores are gauging the price on this particular lens.

I had to get mine on CL new in box for about the same price during Christmas because of backorder. I'm hoping they weren't on backorder since then because I heard from people they had to wait 3-4 months for theirs. Did you try ritz camera?

I passed up my preorder a while back from Roberts imaging. It took probably 6 months back then on the preorder list. Not sure how long it will take now.

This sucker has been really high in demand and Nikon raised its price to match the demand, but it's still on short order.

Just got my brand new 18-200 VR in the box from a guy who ordered them in the quantity of 20. He got them for 750 each and even gave me a copy of the reciept, and used to sell them for $800 each in CL since June, but the demand has slowed down for him so he want to get rid of his last one for the price he paid for.
Now I am so excited and can't wait to use it on the Grand Prix tomorrow.
Thank you guys for all your suggestions!
Eric, you should come over and teach me how to use this lens :D
