just curious as to whether or not any of you that have tried out sea hares for algae control were satisfied with the results. will they eat other types of algae, or just GHA? Ever have a hare ink in your tank? hardiness/longevity? effectiveness?

inquiring minds want to know!

Worked wonders on my tank last time I had algae bloom. First one got tore up somehow and I discovered it dying... Didn't do any 'inking' or toxin release that I could tell. Next one did such a good job I had to give it away before it starved. Ate any algae it came across in my case.

sally light foot crabs aren't generally considered reef safe, are they?

everybody has their opinions on them. i have one in every tank. imo they're great for maintaining a clean tank.

my son's nano started developing gha prior to putting phos reactor on it and we put in a algae blennie and it mowed it down within a couple of days.
