Well my crappy skimmer I got from aquatraders quit working last week, so I went to ebay last night and got a Reef Octopus NW150 man this skimmer is nice for the price around $150. just running last night pulled one full cup(wet) skimmate and its not even broke in yet. I am very pleased. Anyone else running these skimmers and have any experience with them?

Looks like most people on the forums have been happy with them. Most say it skimms quite a bit.

What was your old skimmer out of curiosity?

New skimmers are great. Congrats. I just put an oversized Sedra on my old ER 6-1 (which ER tech support told me previously would NOT work), and it's skimming like a beast. I'm glad I tried that instead of a buying whole new skimmer. Gotta love serendipity....

It was a aquatraders model rated for a 75 gallon it never was much but it just stopped producing any bubbles at all probally just something stupid, but I'm glad I upgraded.

i told ya about that jebo/odysea stuff danny :) seems like a great deal but 6 months later when you re-buy equipment it makes it 5 times as expensive. unfortunatly you and me have expensive hobbies. cars, and aquariums.......we know what happens when you get cheap in either one. im glad you got it worked out though, that is one kick *** skimmer! talk to you soon!<~~steve
