Noticed these guys periodically on the glass. They move like snails, can stretch a bit and seem to have quite a distinctive "rear" section, shaped like a "V". They don't seem to have any type of shell either and look flat when viewed from the side.
My cycle completed about a week ago and the only critters are the normal clean up crew and a Peppermint Shrimp.

Thanks.

flat worms - a scourge to reef systems everywhere. Do a search on ways to eradicate them - there are several threads and methods abroad as we speak

I thought the white clear ones were safe but the reddish ones were trouble. I had never seen them before having to do this fallow cycle but I've seen 3 on the glass a few times.

I've only seen a couple, but I know the formula seems to be multiply what you see by a bejillion, and that's what you really have. I do have a lot of white "bugs" on the glass, remember the cycle just completed recently, and I've read (literally minutes ago I learned these are most likely Acoel Flatworms (http://www.seaslugforum.net/display.cfm?id=5742) ) where these can prey on them. Maybe as the tank matures these will fade away?

Yes, you're seeing pods. And the flatworms will eat them. I've also read that their population will dwindle with the pods not being so abundant. Once I'm past my fallow stage I'm sure I'll not see so many pods.

thats an Acoel flatworm. the only problem with the brown colored ones is if they decide to gather on a coral they can smoother it, and block the light which will cause damage to the coral. in most cases the population doesnt get very dense before they die off.

as stated the white ones are not really all that bad. it it were my tank I would dose some FWE before you really get going
