Hi, I've been looking for someone to drill my tank but haven't had any luck, so looks like im gonna have to try it myself, does anyone know of any videos that shows you how to do this?

Or something that explains it well, it's a 50g(or 55g, one of those two) glass tank, and im gonna use 1" pipes and bulkhead.

Is it really that hard, or is it more about patience?

EDIT: the search function worked so I was able to do a search, I read a few threads and also saw a video, so now I just need to know the size of bit I need, im gonna use 1" pipes and bulkhead.

Thanks

Here was my video

Edit: Each bulkhead is different but this will usually get you close enough for most bulkheads

Yeah, that's the video I saw, great video man!

The thing I don't know is what size drill bit do I need for a 1" bulk head?(im assuming im gonna need a 1" bulkhead since the pcv pipes I bought are 1")

I just noticed, the bits are really pricey, it would be cheaper if I take the tank to someone. I'll think about what im gonna do.

You can't get much cheaper than $10 bucks for a bit shipped?
How cheap did you think someone would drill it?

I just found 1 for 10 bucks, the first ones I was looking at were around 45 bucks, that's why I thought it would be better to just take it somewhere.

I don't know, how much do they usually charge?
Last time I got my tank drilled for 10 bucks(the guy doesn't drill tanks anymore though).

I just drilled like 9 holes for a guy today, and he said the ONLY quote he could get was $20.00 per hole from glass places!!!
Plus once you own the bit you can help out others in your area by drilling their tanks for them.
You get way more back in trades than the bits EVER would cost, even at $45 each.

Well I've drilled over 20 holes with my 35mm one, and it's still going.
