I have an orange tube anemone and the sand around it is covered in something that looks like cyano. Anyone seen this before? It has been like this for a while now but i just thought it was new tank syndrome but it is only around the tube anemone. I just got a diamond watchman and i dont want him eating that sand if it is something bad.

Mine has the same thing, I just assumed that it was NTS but it is defiently worse on the sand around the Tube anemone. My tank has been setup since Jan 1 so it is definetly a newer tank. I have never seen the tube discard any waste. Does anyone know if they just pack it into the sand? If so wouldn't adding more sand just hide the problem for a while only for it to blow up at a later date?
