View Full Version : Using Photo shop elements to enhance pictures ???!?!?!

Just got a Canon SD750 and can finally start to figure out how to use the macro and i am becoming ok at it, still have a long way to go. I would like to get help with using photoshop elements to enhance photos such as this one. To clean up , i would really appriciate any help

Software is good at fixing things like color saturation, contrast, noise....

Your image is out of focus, has some blur from the object moving while you where shooting and is slightly over-exposed. Work on correcting those things and you'll have a lot better image to start with.

That being said, this is a quick edit to your image. I used Levels to set the black/white points, unsharp mask to sharpen and then removed some noise.

Work on technique first, post-processing later. It's way easier to fix a lot of that stuff "in the camera."

Check the stickies at the top of this forum for some links to really good information on the subject. Aside from that, practice, practice, practice.

Are there any good books that go over the features of photo shop elements and how to use them.

I have photoshop CS2 and I found Scott Kelby's book to be the best for showing how to use the various tools in photoshop. He has a book for Elements as well.
