What is thes best calcium reactor for a 30 reef(not the most expensive but the best buy). Now that I have put A LOT of money into my sps , acan lord, and micro colelction i want even better water quality. The only problem is that this tank does not runf off a sump, a prism which seems to do its job and i run carbon through an empty biowheel. I could always make a sump using a h ang on overflow box...

I wouldn't recommend a ca rx for a 30g setup. The cost is great no matter what size aquarium you have, and you could certainly supply ca and alk demands by using a 2 part solution or kalk. See Randy's articles in the chemistry forum for step by step methods of creating your 2 part solution and keep a balance with regular water changes. IMO and IME, a Ca Rx is needed in tanks greater than 75g where you cannot meet the requirements of the corals.
