Suggested Filtration for FOWL

Im currently using a protein skimmer, any suggestions on good filtration systems to help control the waste?

A good quality skimmer and preferably over sized is an important piece of equipment, but numerous other types of filtration are beneficial as well. LR is an excellent biological filter as is LS and a refugium. Many hobbyists prefer a wet/dry and large water changes to keep a FO tank pristine.
