Is the 618 Geo Calcium Reactor a good size for a 90 gal SPS tank (with a possible upgrade to 120g in the future) or is it overkill? Your feedback is appreciated.

I use a 612 on a 125 gallon (with 30 gallon sump) - it works great. I have a mixed reef with 1/2 sps and 1/2 lps (only a couple of leathers).

Thanks Magvi. I am new to calcium reactors. Is a larger reactor less likely to lower pH?

large reactor are important to big tank when need to use more volume media because of high consumpion .
when you add PH controller to the reactor you are able to control on the PH . i don't think you need more then 6/12 to this size of tank . i able to keep my PH at 8.3 and my calcium level at 425-450
the alk it's 9DKH and i use 22mlg/min from the effluent and 11-12d/min of CO2 .

i also run denitrator in my system and it's reduce the PH and the ALK before i use it i was able to keep 7d/min of CO2 .
