How do you prepair your formula 1 food?

How do you prep formula 1 frozen food? It's like a jello cube when thawed. Do you just feed the hole cube to the fish or break it up in a cup of tank water? I usualy feed mysis and that breaks up this stuff doent want to.

I finely mince it with a small knife. Takes a bit of time, but no wastes particulates of food in the tank. Also, some lots of their food are waaaayyyy more gelatinous than others.

Ok I'll give that a try. I know the stuff I got is like a hard gel cube.

I tried using a garlic press today on F2. It worked pretty well. Then the leftover stuff in the press was grainy and broke apart real easy.

i usually thaw it out and then break it up between my fingers, it breaks down well it to small pieces

This is how I feed my fish formula 1 and 2. I drill a hole thru the middle and I use fish line. No food gets waisted and everyone gets their share :) check out the video

Sdguy mine is rubbery but not that rubbery it will break if i pinchit but I can't get small bite size pieces when I do it.

Gman107 thats what I was doing but it would'nt be small enough when I did that.

Thanks. The funny thing is they always eat the formulat 1 first and then their veggies just slower, I guess like kids. Now I do my own home made food but I still use the same method.

I put my frozen food through a salad shooter. Put it in a container and then feed as necessary.
