The bid history I saw had 0 bids. I would hope if anyone gets this, it is for an experiment.

Actually, I've seen these and numerous other things, such as Majano sp. anemones, for sale on ebay. It's amazing what people can be suckered in to buying. On the other hand, I could (sorta) see a Berghia breeder picking these up.

I had a plague of majano's in the past, and found out the hard way that they are really efficient consumers of nitrate and did a pretty good job on general water filtration. When I had them, my water was always really crystal clear, and nitrates were always really low, even if I was a bit lazy on the water changes. I harvested probably a pint of them out of a 110 tank in about a week and then as my nitrates rose quickly I understood how good they really were for this purpose.

Now I've still got a few left, and what I've been doing when i can is moving them to my fuge, and trying to get them to grow. I've noticed a bit of discussion over the past few years of aptasia and majano filters, kind of an offshoot of the cryptic zone concepts. If it worked out well, who knows, selling aptasia and majano may be the next big thing in filtration, kind of like chaeto was when it first became available. Of course if I don't buy some, it will probably take a few years for the population to build up again in the fuge, so it's not an experiment that will show quick results in my case.
