meshmod a pinwheel?

Hello all!
Sorry if this is an over-asked question, but is it a good diea to mesh-mod a sedra pinwheel? If so, can you possibly explain? I've mesh-modded alot of pumps, but am kinda stumped on these...

I thought I was going to after reading page after page of excited mesh-mod discussions...but I have a Sedra 5000 on a DIY Euroreef style recirculating skimmer. All I did was drill out the venturi a touch. As it is I am not able to use all the air it can provide.

If I did decide to do it, to make smaller bubbles, would it be worth it? I've heard of every type of mesh-mod, but don't recall someone mesh-modding a pinwheel/sedra...
