I have never gotten one based on everything ive read about them but....... this guy was on sale REALLY cheap and couldnt resist. My camera stinks so you cant tell but its a pretty nice shade of red. He opened right up and seems happy so hopefully he'll do good in my 180g.

Tweaking the flow so it's JUST right for the coral will be your biggest challenge. At least it was mine. When the polyps fully expand, you'll know it. So beautiful.

Spot feed that sucker cyclopeeze or something similar. In my opinion, direct and regular feedings are the key to survival for this coral.

He's getting medium flow right now, not getting blasted but definitely getting moved around. He's about 85% expanded i'd say. Haven't tried to feed him yet but tonight i'm feeding cyclo to the tank so i'll be sure to hit him.

He was under very little light at the lfs so i have him out of the light a little now. Should i get him under more direct light once he acclimates?

Crushed Cyclopeeze and Oyster Eggs really seem to perk these guys up. Be sure and feed the juice from mashing the cyclopeeze as well.
