The best bulkhead ever?

What would the best bulkhead ever be? What kind of gaskets are best? Also what would the most quiet type of tubing be?

As far as I know, all bulkheads are pretty much the same. (Don't use metal, though.)

To keep the tubing quiet, try to keep the frills to a minimum. Maybe one valve and one elbow, if possible. I haven't found the tubing to be a source of noise unless the flow to the sump is not matched very well to the return flow. Then it can be incredibly noisy.
