I have the Red Sea marine lab test kit, and I just noticed that I think I might have been measuring my pH wrong (my tank is currently cycling). When you check the pH's color do you look down through the top like you do on the other tests(nitrite, ammonia..etc)? or do you hold it and look through the "side" of the test tube?
This would really be appreciated because for the past week I have looked down through the top of my test tube on pH and thought it's been at 8.6 (while the rest of the tests were perfect 0's) then today I noticed on the back of the color card it had the picture of a side view of the test tube instead of looking down into it...so when I did it that way I got a great 8.2....
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am indeed a novice.
