I told Green Wrasse I would PM him with a pic to show the spread of my Lumenarc. Figured I share it with everyone to see. Sorry for the blurry pic. Anyways, I have 2 Lumenarcs DE reflectors that are centered on each half of my 4' 90.

Hey Russ, how much electical work do you think will need to be done?

Pretty minimal. Lumenarc already has a cord. Just have to hook it up to the ballast.

Russ,

Is that a pretty accurate picture of how the Reeflux 12K's look in person? I am considering the Lumenarcs as well. The spread/intensity of my AquaSpacelight is nothing like that!

Nice reef!

Thanks Russ, love the color of those bulbs and how the Lumenarc's coverage is corner to corner!

How far above the water line is the lighting? What temperature is the bulb? I am not too fimiliar with Luminarc, so any info is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

The glass shield is around 6"-7" above the water line and the bulb itself is probably at 10". Im using a 12K Coralvue Reeflux on HQI ballast. 250 watters. Lumenarcs are probably the best reflectors for MH lighting available. They come in SE and DE versions.
