how do you get your GSPs to grow on the back/side of your tank. I've seen it in a lot of tanks and i just recently saw someone mention it in a thread. He (don't remember his name) said that he planned on growing some GSPs on the wall of his tank.

I wanted to cover up part of my over-flow with some once, all I did was take a small piece and super-glue it to the over-flow. After a little while it started to grow from that.

Thank you israel, i think i will do this. but is putting a rock with GSPs against the wall the best way to acheive this?

i just leaned a rock with them against the wall and up they went, I would also put some smaller rocks on the side then move them to other spots as they got covered.

Yup just lean it against the glass and they should take off. You could also do like lvpd186 did and glue them to the glass.

is there a special glue i should use. i have the putty stuff that i use to glue rocks together- but it doesn't seem like this would hold very well to the acrylic?

All I used was regular gel super-glue.

If you want to use the putty, you could scuff up the acrylic before you try and adhere it. I recently super glued some GSP on my acrylic overflow box. It is a hang on so I took it out and dried the box and the GSP as much as I could and then glued it. 3 days and it is still holding.

I think the loctite superglue gel can be used underwater.
