Sorry, I love the shapes of the Haiti rock, but it NEVER, EVER comes in cured! It will spike a tank so fast you can almost never catch up with the water changes. Be prepared to cure it yourself for at least 3-4 weeks - but then all the color comes off it! You can hand pick your haiti rock for 3.99 at Fishy Business - why pay close to the same amount for someone else picking it out?

How do I buy fiji rock for 2.19 per pound? Is this an ebay listing or a store website? Link would be great if you have it.

you cant buy it local for that price. but the fishbowl aka aqua direct is where i got the rock from and i was told it was the same ebay supplier. just search live rock and within 50 miles from your location and it will pull. it listed as longwood florida. aka aqua direct locations in longwood. i paid 3.99 lb and is very nice rock and great people to talk to. ask for george

Very cool. I thought that was them. I found the ebay listing and it says that locals can get it for $3.19 per pound if you buy 50lbs. I will email them tonight to see if that's really the case.

thanks all, but hatian rocks has nice character to them, I know I need to cycle them no matter what, I waited this long already setting up my system so few more weeks wont hurt. just wondering if anyone had purchased from them before and any good feedback. i would love to take the ride but been so busy and cant seem to get away. its always best to hand picked them yourself but she said all photos will be taking to ensure i get the pc's i want.

When I first saw haitian rock I thought..hmmm not much life on it, but cool shelf shapes. I bought a single weird shaped piece for my nano. It almost looks like 3 pieces, but is one. Then it began to take off. This has been the most interesting & colorful piece I have ever had. It has the most unusual & coolest feather dusters...all different kinds including some that are bright yellow with red stripes that grow from hard tubes like coco worms.

Is Coral Connection by the airport in New Orleans still open?
What about Pet Express in Houma?
They both had great live rock in the past.

Ok, I bought lots of stuff from George at CC and Pat at PE. George's prices were more reasonable when I left there, but that was 9 years ago.

I found it today. Two places ship from Florida, one in Tampa area, and one in Longwood. Hmmm. Which is Ocean Direct? It's Mr. Marine! Kinda weird name but I am getting 150 lbs. of rock for 3.19 per pound on Sunday. Local discount.
